This is a persona project I've been working on over the last few months. It's a top down action adventure game.

Both the code and pixel art have all been done by me, with the use of Pygame-CE and Asesprite respectively.

I'll be moving on to Godot, which should ease development, as I feel I now have a good grasp of the fundamentals of game development.

This is nowhere near the state I wanted to share it. My plan was to finish a first dungeon with many rooms, puzzles and a boss fight, but since I'll be moving on to another game engine I won't be working on this version of the game anymore.

The conversion and learning process will take a while so I wanted to get some feedback for this version of the game. Mainly the combat.

You can charge your sword to do consecutive dash spin attacks. While executing one, you are invincible and do double damage. If you charge your sword after hitting an enemy, you can absorb the particles that fall off them, charging your attack faster.

The only other notable room is the one to the right, with gaps that you need to dash spin to traverse. You can both be push enemies and be pushed into the gaps.

CONTROLS:

AWSD - Move Character

K - Sword button. Hold to charge your attack.

It should support X-Input controllers, but let me know if there is a problem on your end.
